A fresh set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races is available starting today, with three more races planned for the coming week.
All three races, with Balance of Performance (or "BOP") turned on to automatically determine power and weight to balance car performance, disallow vehicle tuning and alteration (aside from liveries).
This has certain ramifications for Race A this week, as the race contains a car that is now unavailable for purchase.
If you already purchased or won a Mitsubishi GTO 1991 (from the National B Licence), you must not have made any irrevocable modifications, such as widebody or engine bore-out, in order to participate.
If you have a car that is allowed, you'll be racing at Fuji International Speedway for a shockingly long, six-lap race on Comfort Soft tires.
Both of this week's other races feature the same car type, with Gr.4 being the highlight for the week. You'll need any car from this category, and if you haven't already, you may get one for free by signing a Manufacturers Cup contract with any eligible brand in GTWS Test Season 2.
Both events offer tire wear and fuel consumption settings, just like last week's races. Race B has always been a sprint race without these factors throughout GT Sport's history and until last week in GT7.
Nonetheless, a 5x tire wear multiplier will be applied to the eight-lap Tokyo Expressway Central Clockwise race. That means your Racing Hard tires will feel like a 40-lap race, and even the front-wheel drive machines in the class won't need to pit.
However, for Race C, which takes the Gr.4 cars to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, pit strategy may be essential. The race will be lengthier — the Barcelona track is significantly longer than Tokyo — and with far more difficult stops at 10 laps.
To access the Daily Races, you must first unlock Sport Mode in the GT Cafe single player hub by completing Menu Book 9 ("Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade").
Because GT7's Daily Races appear to be updated on the same schedule as GT Sport's, the next new set is expected to come on Monday, April 18.
